The Legend of HRMS Bands Podcast:

The HRMS bands represent the feeder program for the Danvers High School band, which has been to Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA twice in the last 6 years. At HRMS we have separate bands for kids in 6th, 7th and 8th grades, and jazz bands for 7th and 8th grades. Most students have played for 2 years before HRMS in one of 5 excellent elementary school bands.

As director of the bands Mr. Cohen provides opportunities to audition for a regional district band (a type of all-star group- www.northeastdistrict.org), solo and ensemble festival (www.micca.org), a concert band festival called MICCA (www.micca.org), and a jazz band festival (www.iajema.org).

We perform music from popular styles, serious concert band literature, and fun or unusual music for each performance. On this podcast you can expect to hear interviews with students, student teacher interns, and whatever else may come from the creative minds of the students of HRMS. Come on in and enjoy!
